Patriot Days Encampment Slide Show

Since 1967 thousands of Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Camp Fire youth, and other youth groups have gathered annually for one weekend in June at the Daniel Boone Homestead in Birdsboro, Pennsylvania, to meet new friends and share in a unique camping experience.

Units check in Friday evening, with the program all day Saturday. The weekend winds up on Sunday with the annual awards ceremony before we break camp.

Experienced adults who cannot come with a unit are welcome to come for the day or the weekend and help with Encampment staff. Pass along to us any ideas for improvements, new acts, or groups who could present a station.

2010 NEWS
We are pleased to announce that Patriot Days will be held as scheduled.

The State of Pennsylvania has enacted deep budget cuts on the Historical & Museum Commission, which includes the Daniel Boone Homestead. The Homestead was essentially closed. The non-profit organization "Friends of the Daniel Boone Homestead" has taken a more active role at the site, and is doing all they can to ensure that the mission of the Homestead is carried out to the degree that is possible. The Friends have managed to provide a very limited opening schedule to the public as a result of their volunteers.

We at Patriot Days will be working closely with the Friends and with the remaining staff to ensure that the Patriot Days experience is not adversely affected by the budget cuts.

See you at Patriot Days.

Send us an email (PatriotDays@aol.com) to be included in updates.

Thank you for your interest in Patriot Days. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards,

Patriot Days Encampment Committee
